It is kind of hard to plan a menu plan when the sound of any food just makes you plain sick. But here I go, I think my family still wants to eat this week even if Mommy is dealing with pregnancy “ickies.”
What kind of Mother am I? I forgot my son’s birthday is this Thursday. We have started a new tradition in our house by letting the birthday person pick the meals for the day. Sooo, that means our menu plans are changing for Thursday!
Sunday
B: Cereal, Milk
L: Cabbage Stew (I was suppose to make this Saturday, but didn’t), Bread, Grapes
Monday
B: Cereal, Milk, Oranges
L: Stuffed Shells (provide for us by some dear friends), Corn, Cantalope
Tuesday
B: Blueberry Coffee Cake, Milk
L: Egg Salad in Pita Pockets, Fruit Salad, Relish Tray
Wednesday
B: Blueberry Coffee Cake, Milk
L: Baked Chicken, Mash Potatoes w/Gravy, Brussel Sprouts
Thursday- Birthday Boy’s Pick!
B: Oatmeal, Fruit, Milk Pancakes, sausage, grits
L: Mama’s Stew, Cornbread Hot Dogs, French Fries, Pop, Semi-Truck Cake (we’ll see if I can pull this one off, any suggestions?)
Friday

L: Chicken Soup, Crackers
Saturday

L: BBQ Pork on Buns, Baked Potato, Carrot Salad I am going to move the Mama’s Stew meal here instead.
What’s on your dinner (or lunch) table this week?

If you are going to do a sheet cake, you can use a coloring book to trace out the pattern onto wax paper, then use a push pin to poke holes in the pattern. After you have iced the cake with your background, lay your pattern down and use cocoa on a paintbrush to push the cocoa through. You will be left with a nice stencil on your cake.
It is a little involved, but I found it worked perfectly for my son’s “Where the Wild Things Are” cake. (As seen on my blogger profile http://ce-ne-bargainblog.blogspot.com/). Best wishes!
