Things are working out pretty well since I have started trying to make more homemade breakfasts around here. It has been one month today. My children have really appreciated it. I have noticed though…it generates more dishes…which is one of my least favorite chores, but it is worth it. I have had to learn to be a bit more organized with getting things prepared ahead of time, but it is a new system and I am working through it.
Here’s what we’re are eating this week:
Wednesday
B: Cinnamon rolls, milk, 1/2 banana
L: left overs (they are all gone now, Yipee!)
Thursday
B: cereal, milk
L: Beef Tortas, mexi veggie mix, peach and raspberry crisp
Friday
B: Eggs, scones, milk
L: Sweet and Tangy Chicken, brown rice, broccoli/cauliflower mix
Saturday
B: Whole wheat pancakes, bacon
L: Bierocks, carrot salad, pear slices
Sunday
B: Oatmeal, milk
L: Beef stew, banana bread
(This bread is delicious, you should try it!
)
Monday
B: Biscuits and sausage gravy
L: Spinach Mushroom Quiche, hashbrowns, fried apples
Tuesday
B: Cereal, milk
L: Chicken Stuffing Bake, peas
Also, for another change I may start posting my menu plans on Mondays so I can participate in Menu Plan Monday at orgjunkie.com. I think that site NEEDS another menu plan idea. (He-he-he!) This will be a challenge for me because I always do my grocery shopping on Tuesdays, but I do make my menu plans up on Mondays. The problem is they just change sometimes after I go to the store because of a great deal I might find. We will see! Okay, I have rambled on enough====have a great day!
