Here is what I managed to get this week at CVS. I had some ecbs that were going to expire so I splurged and bought the Soft Soap pumps, otherwise, I didn’t think they were a really good deal this week. I have a coupon to get a rebate for the Soft Soap pumps that I found awhile back at Dillons, so I hope to get a little back that way.
Shopping at CVS has been quite discouraging lately. They hardly ever have the items on the shelf that are on sale. Even with going shopping on Monday morning I still have a difficult time getting the items I hoped for. I guess there are a lot of coupon ladies in Topeka! Anyone else have this problem?
Anyway, I am still thankful for the products I am able to get.
- 2 Rimmel Mascaras B1G1 $7.49, used free Q from the ALL YOU Mag (you can get this magazine at Wal-mart or through mail order) this coupon only took off $6.47
- 2 Soft Soap Ensembles Hand Soap Pumps $15.98, use 2) $1 off Q’s
- Used $10.97 in ecbs
Total OOP: $1.75, with $4 ecbs for next time! Not my greatest week, but still good and cheap.
I am so thankful for how the Lord keeps providing for our family little-by-little.
How did you do this week?
Stop by Money Saving Mom or The “Cent”sible Sawyer sites to see what else is on sale this week. Don’t forget to read through the comments section. There are always lots of helpful hints that are sometimes missed on the main page.
No run for me this week!
The only thing free this week is more toothpaste, and I am up to my ears in toothpaste, so I am going to pass. But I will be running to Walgreens for the free tomato sauce!
Happy Shopping!
I wasn’t planning on going to CVS this week. Toothpaste is about the most exciting thing you can get (and Secret Deodorant for 99¢, if you like that kind).
One of my children had to go back to the dentist and I bet you can guess what is just one block away (CVS)
, so I thought I would run in real quick and pick up my free toothpaste (think donation here). I found another goodie though! A couple of weeks ago I got a CVS coupon for True North nut products. These are marked down to $1.75 in our Topeka CVS right now. With my $1 off Q I got mine for 75¢ cents; pretty good for something that normally costs a little over $3! I also found a coupon for free Wrigley’s gum!
***Update: There is a $1 off MQ (manufacturer coupon) out there for the True North Nuts that you can stack with the CVS coupon to get the package free, or even make 25¢ overage, if your store allows it!

- Wrigley’s gum 99¢, got this free with my coupon!
- Crest Pro-Health toothpaste $2.99, used $1 off Q
- True North Peanut Crunchies $1.75, use $1 off CVS Q
- used $2.99 in ecb’s
Total OOP: 22¢, with $2 ecb’s for next time!
Check out Money Saving Mom and The “Cent”sible Sawyer for more sale items, and transaction helps!

Here’s what I was able to get at CVS this week!
- Gillette Fusion Gamer Razor $7.99, used a $4 off coupon
- Carnation Instant Breakfast $4.99, I didn’t have a coupon, but there are some out there
- 2 Act Total Care mouthwashes $1.98, I found these on an end cap in the trial size isle
- CVS Vitamin D $2.98
- used $13.95 in ecb’s from a previous transaction
Total OOP ( out-of-pocket): 30¢, with $13.96 in ecb’s for next time!
There are a couple of other items you can get free this week, so check out Money Saving Mom’ site to catch up on that. She has a link for a couple of printable coupons to get Zone bars and Glucerna products free, if you are interested. The “Cent”sible Sawyer has a very detailed list of all the items that give back Extra Care Bucks that you might want to check out also. And for anyone in need of diapers, he is a deal that The Grocery Weekly came up with.
No CVS run for me this week! There really wasn’t anything that caught my eye.
If you like smelling good stuff for your home, check out this post Common Sense With Money did, you can get Renuzit Tri-scents free this week.
I only got a couple of things at CVS this week, but I plan on going back since I finally got a $/$$ Q! I have not had one of these since Thanksgiving time frame. I’ll keep you posted.
Keep an eye out on your clearance section. I found nylons marked down to 50¢, bags of underwear for $2.58 and bras for $1.50. Sounds like a good price if you are in need of these items.
And don’t forget to ask for a rain check if CVS is out of a sale item while you are there, so you can still take advantage of the sale at a later time when they get the item stocked up again.

- Colgate $2.99 (get $2.99 ecb)
- 2 packages of panty hose $1.00
- used $4 ecbs adjusted down to $3.99
Total OOP: 0, with $2.99 in ebs for next time!
There are a couple of other really good deals this week, like free pads, a moneymaker on Neutrogena soap, and free Mylanta stop by Money Saving Mom to see more details and check out the other CVSer’s scenarios for the week! See what else is on sale this week at The “Cent”sible Sawyer too for more ideas.
One lonely razor, that is all I managed to pick up at CVS this week. I had officially ran out of ecbs so I had to start over. This is where coupons come into play, to help keep a lower OOP. I was hoping to build my ecbs up by grabbing some of the monthly free items, but they were out. I have way more OOP this week than I normally like to get, especially for just one thing. I guess you have to start some where.

- Gillette Fusion Gamer razor $7.99, used $4 off Q
Total OOP: $4.59, with $4 in ecbs for next time!
That’s it folks! If you don’t find any razors down the shaving isle take a peek in the middle of the store. Our CVS had some more of these on a shelving unit in the middle of the store slightly left of the shaving isle.
See what else is on sale this week at CVS by stopping by Money Saving Mom and The “Cent”sible Sawyer, and take a look at the other scenarios listed to see what others are buying at CVS to give you an idea on how to best use the ecbs you have.
Doesn’t look like a whole lot is going on at CVS (for me, anyway). I ended up not needing/wanting anything from there this week. Take a look at Money Saving Mom’s site though, there might be something on sale that you just can’t live without. Make sure you read through the comments, if you have time, sometimes there are extra deals and ideas written there too.
Happy Shopping!
It is not Tuesday yet, but I had to post this deal. Hurry on over to CVS to get 15 greeting cards free! FREE!
When you buy 3 American or Hallmark greeting cards, you’ll get $3 ECBs! Buy the 99¢ greeting cards and you’ll get them all free. Limit 5, for a total of 15!!!!

I started with $3.99 in ecbs, so here are how my transactions looked:
Transaction#1
- 4 Hallmark cards @ 99¢ ea., $3.96
- used $3.99 in ecbs that were adjusted down to $3.96 (CVS will not give you actual money out of the register if you do not spend it all, but you can choose to forfeit it, which is what I did in this case and in all of the next transactions.)
Total OOP: 0¢, with $3 ebcs for next time!
Transaction #2
- 3 Hallmark cards $2.97
- used the above $3.00 ecbs, adjusted down to $2.97
Total OOP: 0¢, with $3 ecbs for next time!
Transaction #3
- 3 Hallmark cards $2.97
- used the above $3 ecbs, adjusted down to $2.97
Total OOP: 0¢, with $3 ecbs for next time!
Transaction #4
- 2 Hallmark cards $1.98
- 2 candy bars 1.00 (you could just buy another card, it will still be free, you just won’t get credit for it, but I had chocolate…with coconut on the brain)
- used the above $3 ecbs, adjusted down to $2.98
Total OOP: 0¢, with $3 ecbs for next time!
Thank you Addicted to Coupons for this fabulous idea!
Also take a peek at Money Saving Mom and The “Cent” sible Sawyer to see what else is on sale. You can also see what others are saving at CVS. This is really helpful if you are new to shopping at CVS. It can give you an idea on how to buy items for a low or no OOP (out-of-pocket) price.
Not a whole lot of excitement going on at CVS this week. But make sure you take a look at all the holiday clearance, it is now 90% off. I was able to get some mint chocolate candy canes for 25¢ a box!
I did two transactions this week so I wouldn’t have to pay cash out-of-pocket. Multiple transactions are the secret to getting a low OOP, or free stuff. As long as the line at the check out is not long, CVS doesn’t mind if you do multiple transactions. If the line is long, just go to the end of the line and wait your turn again. By-the-way, after buying 2 of the Nutra-Trim gums my limit has still not been reached! So you can buy at least three and still get the ecbs!
Also, for those who don’t like using coupons, take note that you can still benefit by shopping at CVS, I did not use any coupons in these transactions, only my Extra Care Bucks, and still got my items free.

Transaction #1
- 4 boxes of candy canes $1.00
- Nutra-Trim gum $3.99
- Used $4.99 in ecbs
Total OOP: 0¢, with $3.99 in ecbs for next time!
Transaction #2
- Nutra-Trim gum $3.99
- Used $3.99 in ecbs (from the transaction above)
Total OOP: 0¢, with $3.99 in ecbs for next time!
